Hey everyone!!! It sounds like things are warming up back in the midwest!!! I bet you are all wearing shorts, no jackets and flip flops already! Oh how I miss that time of year when it is finally warming up! And everyone is so happy, and its like a switch flipped and people are allowed to be outdoors!
But I won't say im complaining about the weather here! It is summer here, so it is starting to warm up! It was already warm enough before, but now its even better! I will say I burned my back yesterday sitting outside in the sun...oops. But...in no time it will turn into a tan! :) wooohooo
Well I have decided to take some time off from language school. Mostly because we need to wait until we start making some more money! :) I have a pretty good foundation for now, so that should keep me going! I can have conversation with people. Well some sort of conversation! jajaja. Troy (my cousin) and I get lots of practice with Sam's family! They love hearing us speak! Which is great because they are so helpful!
We are going to this big party on saturday. It is Sam's great grandmothers 100th Birthday! Yikes! and there are expected to be about 130 people there! Big bash for grammy!!
Yesterday we had our first day of volleyball tryouts!! Troy and I are coaching the mens volleyball team at the highschool. (where sam and all his bro went/go) We had 24 boys tryout! Apparently that is the most amount of guys they have had try out in years!! How wonderful as we are only keeping about 12-14. So now I have to cut almost half of them!!!! HAHAHAH Great! :)
But we really enjoyed coaching so we look forward to the season! :) Hopefully they wont mind having a girl coach!!!!!!!!!!! Yikes, I think they will listen to me! I was strictly business yesterday NO smiles! :) haha
Tomorrow Becky's sister Bonnie is coming to visit! We are super excited to have here her for while! :) Hopefully we will have some fun adventures!
Time is really kinda flying by! Before we know it we will have been here for half a year! WOW....my spanish better be better by then! I think so! :)
Alrighty, well best be shower! Caitlin and I have been doing P90X together this week, and plan on doing it with each other up until she leaves in May! Woot woot, im going to be ripppppped!
Then her Becky and I are off to a "thrift" store, who knows what that looks like here, but I hear that they sell clothes from the states there, so I am in!
And just for the record, I have not bought a SINGLE piece of clothing since we got here! Write that down peeps cuz that is fricken amazing :)
Adios for now :)
Love and Miss you ALLLLLLLL

Another week off!
Well I took this off from language school. It sure is nice to have break every once in a while. I took a break this time because I ride with another family here in San Cristobol. They were not going to school this week. So I guess that officially gave me a break too!
Troy and I have been trying to use our spanish with one another, whenever possible. We devote a little time every day to studying with one another, reviewing verbs, vocab etc. We spent an hour yesterday talking with the security guard at our complex. He is a very nice guy and is very eager to learn spanish. Therefore he really wants to be Troy's friend. We will see how on board Troy is with that one :) But nice to be able to practice our spanish! Last night we had tamales made from Sams abuelita! AHH so good :) I hear that they are very difficult and time consuming to make. Who knows if i am going to tackle that one!
Maybe ill stick to Tacos. I think I can do that!
I have 3 clients this week. I have about on average 3-4 every week. Which is fine for me for now. I mainly want to focus on school and studying. Every client that I have had has been from word of mouth, I havent had to do anything to get them! Man that is great!!!!
We are still living in a very empty house! But that is okay, we are so thankful to have our own place. It is amazing what you can really live without if you have to. We were very fortunate to have the things we had back in the states. But here we are just too poor to start over and buy everything that we already have back in Minnesota. So for now, we will stick to our desks that were given to us, a bed that we finally bought, donated kitchen table and utencils, and some traditional furniture. We had company over a couple nights ago and half of us had to eat with spoons! :) haha
and we sat on office chairs and miniature chairs! but hey, we all had a meal together!
Troy and I are going to be coaching the high school mens volleyball team here starting next week. Mens volleyball is very big hear, and is a high school sport. So that should be interesting :) We have to have tryouts because apparently 20 boys are trying out! Yikes, I guess Ill have to cut some...that should be interesting!!!!!!
But we are both excited to have something to do every afternoon! We need to find someone to drive us around to all the games though...cuz I cant drive the school van. And im not sure if Troy is up for that task either...especially since neither of us know where we are going!
Well...I have 2 clients coming this afternoon so I need to go get my salon set up and eat some lunch before I start my "work day"! haha oh how wonderful :)
Hope you are all doing well...miss you all dearly!!!!!!!
