Still alive!

Well. sorry  I knew I wouldn't be the best at posting stuff 24/7 but I actually think I am doing better than I thought! :)
We have been here for about 6 weeks already! I can't believe it, time has really flown! We are living in our new house now.  It is very nice to be able to call a place our home. Although I dont think it has totally hit me yet.  Maybe once we stop sleeping on an air mattress I will feel like we are staying on our own home! Yes, believe it or not we don't have a real bed yet! Pretty awesome! It is only okay when we are both in bed because Sam fills up the other side, and then my butt is no longer touching the floor!

We had Sam's entire extended family over last night for get together. We had about 25 people over! Wonderful because we have a large space, but of course we dont have enough seats, silverware, dishes you name it!!!!! We dont have it! jaja. And thankfully Sams abuelitos and tia's made all the food because everything I have made so far hasn't turned out! How lovely! :) It s a great thing trying to cook with different ingredients, well that actually just might be an excuse. I dont know, I guess I can't cook! :)
oh no...sorry, gotta run here now! I will finish writing later!

troy having fun at Pizza Hut!

Job

Well I got work for this last week. I was working as a graphic designer for a printing company in zone 9 of Guatemala City. It was pretty good to have some steady work. I don't get payed much but at least its something. At the end of this week they offered me a job, part time, which works out great cause they can't pay me much and I can have time to keep working on my freelance stuff, which I have been busy with. I got hannah's business cards printed. They turned out pretty sweet. I'm still getting interviews with some design firms. Hopefully something will turn out.

At the zoo!

Our patio on the roof! With no furniture :)

Our first home, number 41 :)

Our birthday breakfast, for Eric. Yes, you are right, he isnt there. He is in Chicago ;)

Yes, some people have gardens in the their home. We are one of them!
This is my makeshift salon :) Or the start of it at least!

Our living room :) With some traditional furniture we bought. That wall used to be purple...I had to change it!

And our very empty kitchen! But spacious!

My first sight of an albino peacock!!! haha I never knew there were white ones!

Sorry, we will take more pics of our house! I dont know where the ones I took went! :)
More to come!

Sorry it took so long... :)

Sorry it took us so long to post more pictures. But we have been very busy! Moving into a new home, painting the hideous purple walls, busy with language school, etc.
But this next week I have a break from school as I hope to use my spanish! The little that I know.

We are so glad to be in our own home now. Although it seems rather empty.  We have very little furniture and a lot of rooms to fill but are thankful to have a new space because I now have a place to set up my salon.  Things are slowly coming together! Before we know it the new place should feel like home.

I will say I look forward to being able to sleep on a real bed.  This sleeping on a small little air mattress is getting a little old.  But thankful that we even have something to sleep on! Well enough of this, enjoy the pics!

Miss you all!
